Registration

The initial consultation is typically your first appointment in our outpatient clinic. Here, an initial diagnosis of your symptoms and an orientation survey of the biographical factors and life circumstances influencing them takes place. It will be clarified whether psychotherapy is indicated and promising for your symptoms or whether other recommendations offer a better prospect of improvement. Taking into account your goals, expectations and wishes, we discuss which therapy method is suitable for your concerns (see also therapy offers).

Unfortunately, we are usually not able to offer patients a treatment place immediately. If the result of the initial consultation is positive with regard to treatment with us, you will be placed on our waiting list for therapy. As soon as this is available, we will contact you and arrange an appointment. Then you will get to know your psychotherapist. Initially, the therapy will take place in the form of probationary sessions (trial sessions), in which we will see whether there is a good fit between you, the therapy method and the psychotherapist. Only then, on the basis of a joint application by you and the therapist, is a decision made by your health insurance company regarding psychotherapy that requires approval. Regular therapy sessions will then take place. The appointments are arranged individually between the therapist and the patient. A therapy session typically lasts 50 minutes.

Our outpatient clinic is authorized by the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung in Thuringia to bill the statutory health insurance funds. This means that the costs of therapy are usually covered by the statutory health insurance.
