Affective touch and social distance

In various projects we examine non-verbal components of interpersonal interaction. We focus on factors that are particularly related to our body: How often are we touched in everyday life? What role do unfulfilled desires to touch play in partnerships? What distance do we keep when we talk to strangers? When does someone get too close?
