Information
Chronic back pain (CBP) causes high costs for the healthcare system (HCS); it has often far-reaching negative effects for patients affected by it.An important aim of HCS is therefore the prevention of chronification of subacute back pain. One of the best predictions for transition from subacute to CBP was made on the basis of functional connectivity (FC) in the brain .This study aims to use FC in CBP patients administered to an Interdisciplinary Multimodal Pain Therapy (IMPT). We will examine the FC in CBP patients compared to matched control subjects. We will also examine whether FC in CBP will normalize due to IMPT.
